Get to Know Steve
After graduating from Iowa State University, Steve began his banking career in 1986 at FSB's Alburnett branch, his family-owned bank. Over the next two decades, he gained experience as an agricultural lender at the Alburnett branch and later as FSB's Hiawatha branch manager.
In 2006, Steve was selected to lead the bank's business development efforts as Senior Vice President, relocating to the main branch in Marion. At the start of 2025, Steve was named President and CEO of FSB. He also represents the third generation of the Neighbor family to serve on the FSB Board of Directors.
Steve and his wife, Amy, also lead very active lives outside the bank. Both are active in their church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and numerous other organizations in the community. In addition, they are the very proud parents of three daughters: Callie, Chloe, and Claire.
Steve's vast experience and community involvement make him a trusted lender.
