Your privacy is important to FSB! Here's how the bank protects your personal information and your online transactions.
How Is Your Privacy Protected Online?
FSB's Digital Banking Products offer the latest industry-approved security technologies to protect customers' data. These include a password-controlled system entry, a Server Digital ID issued by a trusted Certificate Authority, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption, and a firewall to regulate inbound and outbound traffic. Additionally, FSB's systems require access via a browser that supports industry-standard encryption, and sessions are automatically logged off after a period of inactivity. FSB's Online Banking site utilizes multi-factor authentication to recognize your computer system and your password.
Visitors to the Farmers State Bank website remain anonymous. When you visit the site, FSB receives certain standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, access times, and referring website addresses. This data does not identify you uniquely. However, it assists in "authenticating" who you are when you access the site. The bank may also receive additional information about your visit to the site, including the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions you take in connection with the site and the products and services offered through it. This data is used to make the site design more efficient.
If you submit an online application, it will be transmitted over a secure connection, and you will be alerted. This is the case where confidential information, such as your account number or social security number, is requested. Visitors may elect to provide the bank with personal information via email or the feedback form. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender's request and manage the Farmers State Bank website. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations. Visitors should, however, keep in mind that email is not necessarily secure against interception. If you do not agree with the use of this information or are not comfortable with the level of privacy, please close your Internet browser or cancel an email before it is sent.
Visitors should call FSB directly at (319) 377-4891 if requests or statements include sensitive or private information, such as account numbers, credit card numbers, or social security numbers. Farmers State Bank will never ask you for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your Farmers State Bank Visa® Debit Card/ATM card unless you have contacted the bank to change it.
