How Does Positive Pay Work?

Here’s how Positive Pay protects your business in four simple steps:

	Step 1 - Enter Check Information Manually input check details into FSB's Business Online Banking or upload a check file generated from your accounting software.
	Step 2 - FSB Verifies Checks As checks are processed, FSB automatically cross-checks each against the information you provided to ensure accuracy.
	Step 3 - Receive Alerts If discrepancies are found, you'll receive an "exception" notice the following business day, alerting you to potential issues.
	Step 4 - Review and Respond Log into your Business Online Banking account to review the flagged checks and decide whether to approve or reject the transaction.

FSB’s Extra Layer of Security

FSB validates all checks presented at FSB locations through the Positive Pay system.

If discrepancies arise, FSB will contact your business for additional verification before processing the check, ensuring unverified checks don't clear your account.
